How to Record with Movavi Screen Recorder:

Step 1: Download and Install Movavi Screen Recorder

On the official website, choose where you need a Mac or Windows screen recorder. Then, click the ‘Download’ button. Open the installation file and follow the prompts to complete the process. You’ll have to agree to the terms and conditions, select an installation location, and click ‘Install’.

Step 2: Configure Recording Settings

Open the program and navigate to the ‘Settings’ menu (a cogwheel icon on the panel). Set where you want your recordings to appear, essential hotkeys, video and audio quality, cursor effects, etc.

If you won’t be able to monitor your recording in real-time, Movavi Screen Recorder has a built-in scheduler. You can set when and for how long you want your screen to be captured automatically and what to do afterward.  

Step 3: Set up Your Dashboard and Start Recording

Open your CyberPanel Management Dashboard in a web browser and make any preparations you would like to capture. Go back to the Movavi Screen Recorder and click the videocamera button on the panel to ‘Start recording’ (or use the hotkey).

Use annotation tools to draw on the screen or add shapes while recording to emphasize or show what you’re doing. End your recording by pressing the corresponding hotkey or clicking the ‘Stop’ button on the panel.

Step 5: Save Your Recording

Once the recording is complete, Movavi Screen Recorder will automatically open a preview window. Here you can trim the video if needed or click ‘Export’ to choose an output format (MP4, AVI, MKV among others) and quality. Click ‘Save’ to process and save your video locally.

How to Record with Screen Capture:

Step 1: Open the Screen Capture website

Screen Capture is an online screen recorder. That comes with the main benefit: you don’t need to download or install any software and it’s completely free to use. You don’t have to sign up or create an account either.

Step 2: Allow Access to Your Microphone and Camera

If it’s your first time using Screen Capture, your browser will ask for permissions to access your microphone and camera. Choose ‘Allow’ to proceed.

Step 3: Set up the Recording

The tool allows you to record microphone, system sound, and webcam simultaneously. Check the boxes to enable or disable these settings according to your preference.

Click ‘Start Recording’. Select a browser tab, a window, or a full-screen option to capture. Finally, click the blue ‘Share’ button.

Step 4: Record!

Screen Capture will immediately start recording your screen and audio. Once you’re done, hit the ‘Stop Sharing’ button at the top.

Step 5: Save Your Recording

The preview of your recording will appear. Watch it to decide if you need to make any changes. If everything looks good, click ‘Download’ on the left side of the screen. Your recording will automatically download to your default downloads folder in .WEBM format.
